Our challenge

Restaurant Næsbyhoved Skov underwent a major strategic transformation – with a clear desire to modernize both its expression and operations.

For many years, the restaurant had been a classic eatery with proud traditions and a loyal, older clientele – a beautiful time capsule in a busy city. But with declining revenue and an aging target group, there was a need for renewal.

Our task was clear: Næsbyhoved Skov needed to be revitalized – not just in brand and identity, but also in how the business was run. There was a need for a modern, data-driven infrastructure where automation could provide overview, free up time, and enable better decisions – faster.

Our approach

Our goal was to combine the traditional with the data-driven.

Together with the new tenant, we created a digital setup that not only modernized operations – but also took its starting point in the house's history, values, and guests' expectations.

Through data collection, integrations, and automated workflows, we have created a platform that provides an overview and supports growth – without compromising personal hospitality.

At the same time, we have systematized the resource-intensive 'takeaway food' concept and combined booking and sales data, so the business can now be planned and scaled with greater precision.

The solution

We began with a thorough analysis and mapping of the restaurant's workflows and system landscape – with a particular focus on the connection between the POS system Shopbox, accounting in e-conomic, and booking via DinnerBooking.

Once we had mapped the business's most important data flows and insight needs, we developed an automated solution that collects and connects data across platforms. The solution provides real-time insight and is also built on historical sales data, making it possible to plan and make decisions on a more informed basis.

Workflows are built in n8n and combine data from POS, accounting, and booking with AI functionalities via ChatGPT and visual dashboards in Google Looker Studio.

Everything is tailored to the restaurant's existing organization – and now provides a comprehensive overview of capacity, revenue, and budget, without manual data processing.

We have developed a data-driven and automated solution that builds upon the restaurant's historical identity – but is also geared for modern operations and strategic development.

In close collaboration with management, we have created a digital infrastructure where data from the POS system, accounting, and booking are linked together in one comprehensive solution. The system provides real-time insight into capacity, sales, and budget – making it possible to plan and adjust staffing, procurement, and marketing based on both current and historical data.

On the surface, the user experience is simple and visual. Behind it lies automated workflows and integrations that ensure data flows across platforms without manual handling.

The solution makes it possible to predict busy periods based on booking and sales history, pull real-time reports via Google Looker Studio, and systematize both marketing and operations based on concrete key figures. All without compromising the restaurant's identity – and with a clear link between daily operations and long-term strategy.
